    Hello everybody,

As a new member to this forum I thought would try to interest you in a topic that may be new to the audio standards community . The IEEE publishes institutional standards which have no legal force outside the USA. To have legal force the standard must be adopted by IEC. The AES already uses that route . However, I am not aware of a formal collaboration between AES and IEEE to produce an IEC standard that may be of interest to both organisations. As a member of IEEE and IEC standards committees I thought I would draw to your attention to IEC 60748-4-3 as it covers testing ADC using a wideband method originally devised for testing audio systems but is not part of an AES standard.

I am happy to discuss this .
