Other business or activities at the meeting: Our meeting started off with an AGM where a new commitee was elected:

Meeting Location: Tint Post Gothenburg, Sweden

      Summary

On this cold April afternoon, 20 members of the AES Sweden section turned up at Tint Post Gothenburg, at what turned out to be one of the most appreciated meetings over a long period of time. Ingemar Ohlsson — Life Member of the AES — talked about the construction and design of the studio. The room was previously a sports hall for a school and some efforts were needed to get the room in shape, e.g. levelling the floor to be within plus/minus 2 mm.

The studio is situated in the center of Gothenburg, next to one the most trafficated streets, and hence had to be constructed as a highly insulated floating box within the building. See web site here: https://www.tintpost.se/locations/gothenburg

Tint Post Gothenburg was opened in 2022 and is a Dolby Atmos Certified mix room for film, a medium/small sized room equipped with 44 cinema loudspeakers from Meyer Sound. Three parallell workstations ensure that producers for music, dialog and effects can work simultaneously.

We spent the rest of the evening listening to Dolby Atmos Music. Example mixes by Per Sjösten and Pedro Fereira were demonstrated, followed by free listening of Immersive music from Apple Music.
