Argentina at AES LAC 2026
Argentina had a diverse presence at AES LAC 2026 in Lima, Peru, combining professional activity, research, education, student achievement, and institutional participation. More than ten Argentine professionals presented technical sessions covering live sound, recording, acoustics, microphone techniques, immersive audio, system design, and mixing. Three research presentations generated strong engagement from students and professionals, with extensive questions and discussion. Argentina was also represented in the Student Recording Competition by Federico Alberetti (UNTREF) and Luciano Massi (University of Palermo), both of whom received Silver Medals for their productions. Four Argentine professionals served as judges across different competition categories. The delegation also participated in the Audio Education Panel, contributing to discussions about professional training in Latin America. During the Latin American Town Hall, AES representatives discussed the region’s future in a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie. AES Argentina views this participation as a significant step forward and looks toward Medellín 2027 with enthusiasm.
