During the two-hour event, Maxi presented a lecture titled “THD and Music” to a full classroom. The presentation began with an exhaustive review of concepts related to distortion, with a particular emphasis on Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). This approach allowed attendees to understand the theoretical foundations of THD and its relevance in music production. In the second part of the activity, Maxi adopted a workshop format, sharing his experience in the use and application of THD distortion using various types of audio processors. He detailed how these processors are employed in the mixing and mastering stages, providing concrete examples.
Maxi Forestieri also discussed the methodologies he uses to carry out a complete music production. He described each step of the process, from the initial conception to the final product, detailing the technical and artistic criteria that guide his decisions at each phase of production.
Additionally, he conducted a thorough review of the different components of his audio chain, meticulously analyzing each link. He explained the reasoning behind his equipment and technique choices, offering attendees an in-depth view of the technical and creative considerations that influence his work. Throughout the event, he interacted with students, answering questions and providing suggestions on the application of THD distortion in music projects. This interaction allowed attendees to clarify doubts and gain important insights.
